Available Light Flash and Blending them Together

Wrecks are just as effective as caves to create natural light photographs with impact and the potential for black and white image conversions is also infinite.

I'm sometimes critical of the way in which flash is used together with the available light in wreck photography, so before I rant on about this it may help to refer back to the section in Chapter 6, page 267 on 'Blending Natural Light and Flash Together'.

Trying to capture the size and bulk of a wreck with the use of flash alone is virtually impossible. After all, a wreck is the largest object in the sea that you will ever have cause to photograph. So, by all means use flash to fill in foreground features but use your flash sparingly!
