Ensuring highquality photos

Avoid photos with hotspots (overexposed areas); they are distracting and difficult to read. High-contrast images in general are difficult to work with and look amateurish.

Underexposed photos are also a problem because detail is very hard to pick out of a dark slide. To make matters worse, dark images frequently look like they're poorly focused.

Don't try to get away with a photo that's "almost" in focus but not quite. These tend to look their worst when projected on a screen.

Nothing is available on the market that does not have both a good and a bad side, but the key is to weigh the good against the bad in order to come up with the best of both worlds.
