before you make your final print. The extra pixels give you a more detailed view when zooming way in, but add little or nothing to the print quality.

• Digital photos to email . You can get away with the lowest image quality settings on your camera when emailing photos, but you risk kicking yourself later if you happen to get a shot that you want to print.

• Digital photos for printing . Use the fine or superfine settings on your camera and the largest photo size available. You can always size them down later if you don't need all those pixels.
