Tip Shoot Eye Level to Your Subject

To capture the full power of your subjects, get on their level. That means being down on the ground with toddlers and pets, but also crouching or bending over for adults who are sitting. Of course, as with every rule in photography, this one is meant to be broken, but only for a reason. For example, if someone has small eyes, shooting from slightly above will force him to open his eyes a bit more (see Chapter 12).
