Resolution figures can be subservient to chromatic aberration problems in ultra-wide zooms so the MTF graphs should be interpreted more cautiously than usual. Softness problems and chromatic aberrations are discussed in the review text and these should be taken to heart as such flaws can override the numerical advantage one lens can appear to have over another in terms of resolution Quality assessment is thus much more of a three-handed affair (resolution, colour-fringing and visual sharpness) than is the case for less-demanding lenses.
