nature, that people are attracted to autumn foliage, painted-desert scenes, flower gardens, and similar bright, warm colors (Fig. 5-15). In fact, hot and cold colors induce a pseudo depth perception—hot colors appear closer and cold colors seem farther away from the viewer (Eyton, 1990; Stroebel, 2007).
